The start of every new season is a great time to ensure all of your equipment, including your thermostat, is in proper working order.

Test the Temperature

Test the temperature of your thermostat by setting it to a higher temperature. Listen to your system and make sure you don’t hear any louder than usual noises. This will help you avoid any surprises when it’s actually time to use the higher heat settings.

Adjust Program Settings

If you have a programmable thermostat, set it to automatically turn down during the night time, and then turn back up right before you wake up. If you are away during set hours during the day, program your thermostat to turn down while you’re gone, and then turn back up right before you return home. These small adjustments can help you save money on your monthly bills.
